About Jennifer Scott Fine Art
After many years of exhibiting and selling her work in fine art galleries from New York City to San Francisco, contemporary artist, Jennifer Scott McLaughlin, decided it was time to personally take her art to the collector. Jennifer Scott Fine Art is an online gallery featuring limited edition fine art prints, hand-altered digital photographs, and, original oil paintings all created and produced in her studio and sold directly by the artist.
The transition from selling artwork in galleries to selling artwork directly to the collector has allowed Jennifer a new artistic freedom as well as complete control over the production process. From beginning to end, every decision is made unilaterally by the artist, including during the in house print-making process. In addition to these benefits, the ability to connect directly with the collector has initiated a new dialogue between the artist and collector not readily available through traditional art galleries.
Jennifer Scott McLaughlin’s work is known for it’s abstract organic forms and references to nature, above and below the surface. Her art has been featured in Art in America, Florida Design Magazine, The Denver Post, The Baltimore Sun and other nationally recognized periodicals and newspapers. Additionally, her work may be found in over 400 private, public and corporate collections world-wide including UBS Financial Services, The Sheldon Museum of Art, & Wynn Casino, among others.

About Jennifer Scott McLaughlin
Artist Statement:
The idea of space and growth in nature is something which directly influences my work.
My paintings build themselves organically much like the plant from which I draw inspiration. They explore the idea of growth above and below the ground or water surface which allows the viewer a cross sectional examination of a landscape—a view which fades in and out of reality.
Forms evolve from rigorous overuse and resemble pods, seeds, leaves, and blooms. This evolution of the form precedes the realization of what the form represents, encouraging a constant development and escalation within the work.
It is my opinion when a painting becomes predetermined and familiar, one has ceased the learning process—I find this results in a very contrived expression. Constant exploration in one’s art-making is what keeps the work fresh and alive. My true artistic vision begins and ends with this idea.
