Deliberate Landscapes

The Deliberate Landscape Series was driven by the constant inclusion of a horizon line.  Most compositions begun with a horizon line and developed from that point.  Because of this, there were obvious references to growth on land, and abstracted locations.

Pollination Study

The Pollination Study body of work evolved from the use of thin lines and more precise details to illustrate a more micro view of a plant.  Even though these compositions are still large in size, many were created in a more intimate setting which created a painting inviting a closer look by the viewer.

Salt Water Compositions

A body of work reflecting the artist’s response to living on the Gulf Coast. Heavily influenced by life above and below the surface of salt water, references to living organisms as well as plant-life can be seen throughout these paintings.

Plant Compositions

Influenced by the Xeric landscape, these paintings reflect the artist’s attraction to architectural plantings and the more arid environment of the high plains and desert.

Chalkboard Drawings

These paintings were inspired by the quick, loose renderings and eminent erasures which commonly occur on chalkboards. The temporary and spontaneous nature of these type renderings lead to a unique history of layers.

Transitional Works

These transitional paintings represent a selection of work which does not directly correspond with a particular body of work, yet offers insight to the evolution and eventual beginning of a series.
